Cinnamon & more

It’s that time of year. The temperature drops and our thoughts go to cinnamon and spices to warm us up.

In addition to the warmth they bring, spices protect us. Cinnamon, for example, is taken from the shoots in the inner bark of the tree and is high in aldehydes (over 60% e-cinnamaldehyde alone). This makes it antiseptic and antimicrobial. In fact, cinnamon is one of the more powerful natural antibacterial agents.

So, let your instinct take you to the spices. You’re on the right track!

For a lovely holiday diffuser blend, try the following:

CINNAMON SPICE BLEND

  • 10 drops Cinnamon Bark
  • 5 drops Clove Bud
  • 5 drops Nutmeg

Antiseptic, antimicrobial, antibaterial – and smells divine!

Note: Do not apply this blend to your skin. It can be very sensitizing.
